Job Title: Project Planner (Marine Defence)
Location: On-site in Rugby, UK
Start Date: ASAP - Contract basis
End Date: 1 March 2026
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day
Engagement Type: Inside IR35 - Hourly Rate
Onshore/Offshore: Onshore
Job Overview:
The Project Planner (Marine Defence) will play a key role in delivering project planning, scheduling, and risk management activities for a high-profile marine defence programme. This position is critical to ensuring the programme is delivered on time, within budget, and in full compliance with defence and security standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, maintain, and manage integrated project schedules using Primavera P6
Collaborate with project, engineering, and sourcing teams to ensure alignment on timelines, milestones, and deliverables
Support risk analysis and schedule impact assessments
Monitor project progress and maintain accurate forecasts
Ensure compliance with marine and defence industry security protocols
Prepare reports and dashboards to support project controls and decision-making
Essential Requirements:
British citizen with a valid British passport and no dual nationality
Eligible for, or currently holding, SC Clearance
Substantial experience in project planning, scheduling, and risk management, specifically:
Within high-security and/or marine industries
In complex, multi-stakeholder environments, including suppliers and contractors
Proficiency in Primavera P6
Desirable Attributes:
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Experience working within restricted or classified environments
Familiarity with defence sector security standards and protocols
MUST be British citizen with a valid British passport to apply.
