As AALTO continues to scale its operations, we're looking for skilled, hands-on technicians to help build the next generation of Zephyr aircraft and associated ground support equipment. What You'll Be Doing
As an AIT Skilled Production Technician, you'll play a key role in the end-to-end build and integration of advanced aerospace hardware. Your day-to-day work will include:
Production & Integration
Installing avionic and mechanical equipment on UAV platforms
Completing wiring tasks, system integration and component manufacturing
Conducting and recording installation and system-integration tests
Quality & Continuous Improvement
Maintaining accurate build records and documentation
Self-certifying completed work to high quality standards
Supporting continuous-improvement activities across the production area
Contributing to problem-solving and corrective-action activities
Safety & Care
Ensuring full adherence to Health & Safety processes
Handling fragile, precision components with care and attention
What We're Looking For
You'll thrive in this role if you enjoy working hands-on in a technical environment and take pride in producing high-quality engineering work.
Essential Skills & Experience
Multi-skilled practical experience in avionic or electronic engineering
Strong understanding of production or maintenance processes
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Experience building avionic hardware and wiring installations
Proven ability to approach and solve technical problems proactively
Organised, quality-focused and confident in self-checking your work
Desirable
NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in an avionic/electronic engineering discipline
Time-served apprenticeship in manufacture, installation or testing
Aerospace sector experience
Comfortable using relevant IT tools and systems
Experience is valued over formal qualifications.

Pay & Additional Information
PAYE: £23.29 per hour
Umbrella: £31.16 per hour
Occasional travel may be required
