Role Overview
Croydon Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) is looking for an enthusiastic receptionist/administrator with significant experience to join their friendly admin team. The role involves supporting the existing receptionist and team of administrators. The receptionist will often be the first face‑to‑face contact for families, carers and members of the child/young person’s network and must ensure a positive, efficient, responsive experience. Based at Christopher Wren House, Croydon.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide an efficient and effective reception service, answering and signposting calls, emailing clinicians, and liaising with Drs for medication.
* Perform administrative duties such as typing correspondence and completing templated letters.
* Manage and oversee the administrative component of the Trust patient database – inputting referral and patient information, monitoring and updating operational data quality.
* Ensure adherence to relevant policies and procedures in collaboration with the team.
* Enter patient data onto the Electronic Patient Journey System (ePJS) – training will be provided.
* Coordinate post handling and maintain the reception area.
Qualifications
* Significant experience as a receptionist or administrator.
* Excellent communication skills and telephone manner.
* Strong multitasking, prioritising and workload management abilities.
* Attention to detail with good literacy skills.
* Experience using ePJS is an advantage but not essential.
