Salary: £23,500 - 37 hours per week

The vacancy

At Watford Community Housing, we provide vital services that help people to live better lives. We're looking for highly motivated individuals to join our apprenticeship scheme and help us deliver an exceptional experience to our customers.

What's the role?

We're offering a number of apprenticeship placements, starting in September 2025, across a range of departments, including:

* Customer Services
* Customer Relations
* Housing
* Multi-skilled Operative (Plumbing)
* Multi-skilled Operative (Gas)

As an apprentice, you'll spend 80% of your time gaining hands-on experience in one of our dedicated teams, and 20% (one day per week) focusing on your formal training and studies.

You'll be fully supported in working towards a relevant Level 3 qualification, tailored to the department you're placed in, giving you a strong foundation to build your career.

You'll be part of a supportive environment, working with colleagues to deliver high-quality services that have a direct impact on our customers and communities.

What are we looking for?

Our apprenticeship positions are designed to be an alternative to university education, therefore we are only seeking applications from people who have not already graduated from university with a degree.

Essential:

* A genuine interest in starting a career through an apprenticeship
* Willingness to learn and grow within a team
* Ability to communicate effectively and positively with others
* You will need to maintain a satisfactory basic level DBS check.

Desirable (but not essential):

Any experience working with people or in team environments (e.g. part-time jobs, volunteering, school projects, or clubs)

An interest in or basic understanding of housing, construction, or community-focused work (gained through schoolwork, personal interest, or extracurricular activities)

Relevant studies or coursework in customer service, business, construction, or related areas
