Role Description
* Lead the design and coordination of civil engineering infrastructure for residential, commercial, or mixed-use developments.
* Produce and review detailed designs, including highway layouts, drainage strategies (S104, S106, S185, and S278 agreements), and earthworks.
* Prepare technical reports including Drainage Strategies, Flood Risk Assessments, and Compliance Statements.
* Manage project delivery from feasibility through to the construction stage.
* Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers and technicians.
* Liaise with clients, architects, consultants, local authorities, and statutory bodies.
* Attend design team and client meetings, both remotely and in person.
* Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, standards, and codes of practice (e.g. DMRB, Sewers for Adoption, Building Regulations).
* Support business development efforts through technical input and client relationship building.
Qualifications
* HNC, HND, BEng or MEng in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
* Minimum of 6 years' experience in civil engineering design, with a strong background in infrastructure delivery.
* Proficient in design software such as AutoCAD, PDS, Site 3D, MicroDrainage, Causeway FLOW, and Microsoft Office.
* Strong understanding of UK design standards and approval processes (including S38, S104, S278 applications).
* Excellent communication, project management, and organisational skills.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure.
