Project Manager - Aviation / Civils Gatwick Airport An experienced Project Manager is required to support the delivery of major civil engineering and infrastructure works at Gatwick Airport. This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-profile aviation projects within a live operational airport environment, with a strong pipeline of long-term works secured. The role will involve managing projects from pre-construction through to final delivery, ensuring works are completed safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities Oversee the full lifecycle delivery of civils and infrastructure projects Manage site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders Ensure projects are delivered safely and in line with airport regulations and procedures Monitor programme, budgets, risk, and commercial performance Coordinate with clients, consultants, and operational airport teams Lead project meetings, reporting, and progress reviews Drive quality assurance and ensure compliance with NEC contracts and HSE standards Maintain strong communication across all levels of the project delivery team Requirements Proven experience as a Project Manager within civil engineering or infrastructure projects Previous experience working in live operational environments such as airports, rail, highways, or utilities is highly desirable Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and project delivery processes Excellent leadership, organisational, and stakeholder management skills SMSTS, CSCS, and relevant construction/civil engineering qualifications preferred Ability to manage multiple workstreams and fast-paced programmes What's on Offer Long-term secured work on major aviation infrastructure projects Competitive salary / day rate package Opportunity to work on complex, high-value civils schemes Career progression and development opportunities Exposure to technically challenging projects within one of the UK's busiest airportsThis role would suit candidates with strong civils or infrastructure backgrounds who are looking to work on technically challenging and rewarding projects within the aviation sector.
