The King's School in Macclesfield is seeking to appoint dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join our Junior Division for the 2026/27 academic year. The Role:
Working under the direction of Class Teachers and the Vice-Principal of the Junior Division, you will provide high-quality support to enhance the learning and well-being of our pupils. You will play a vital role in creating a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment where children feel encouraged to excel.
* Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, during term time.
* Start Date: September 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the delivery of engaging lessons across the Junior curriculum.
* Assist with the supervision of pupils during classroom activities, local trips, and break times.
* Work with individual pupils or small groups to reinforce learning concepts and provide tailored support.
* Help prepare learning resources and maintain an organized, vibrant classroom environment.
* Assist in the monitoring of pupil progress and contribute to feedback sessions with teachers.
* Ensure all school policies regarding safeguarding and health & safety are strictly followed.
* Support the school's extracurricular and enrichment programs.
About You:
We are looking for an approachable and proactive individual who:
* Holds a relevant Level 3 qualification in childcare or education (or equivalent).
* Has experience working with primary-aged children, ideally within a school setting.
* Demonstrates excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with children, staff, and parents.
* Is adaptable, resilient, and able to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
* Shares our passion for inspiring young learners and fostering a love of discovery.
