Milk Education is proud to partner with a supportive and inclusive SEND school in the Hexham Area. This school aims to create a sense of community to support the children with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD) in building confidence and enthusiasm for learning.
We are seeking a dedicated Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant for a long-term role supporting children with Complex needs. The ideal candidate will be understandable, adaptable, and passionate about fostering a supportive learning environment, helping both children stay engaged, focused, and develop positive behaviours.
Start Date: Immediate
Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 08:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Ideal SEND Teaching Assistant requirements:
* Experience supporting children with moderate to severe learning difficulties
* Recent school-based experience within the last two years
* Strong behaviour management skills, with the ability to de-escalate challenging situations positively
* Creative and dynamic approach to engaging and supporting pupils
* Team player who can collaborate effectively with staff and contribute to a positive learning environment
* Commitment to the role until the end of the academic year (July 2025)
