Description Trainee Educational Psychologist | 10037 | Temporary Fixed Term Contract from 1 September 2026 to 31 August 2028 | 37 hours per week | £32,564 to £34,515 per annum | Soulbury Trainee EP Scale (Points 3–4) | Norwich Educational Psychology and Specialist Support (EPSS) – Norfolk Are you completing Year 1 of your Doctorate in Educational Psychology in summer 2026? Would you like to develop your professional identity within a supportive, forward-thinking Local Authority service? Norfolk’s Educational Psychology and Specialist Support Service (EPSS) is offering an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Educational Psychologist to join our team from September 2026 while completing Years 2 and 3 of doctoral training. About the Role This is a full-time Local Authority post designed to support your development as a future Educational Psychologist while contributing meaningfully to service delivery. Post holders will: Work within Norfolk EPSS for 130 days in each of the two employment years Undertake supervised applied practice across a range of statutory and preventative work Meet all university training requirements alongside service commitments On days not allocated to Norfolk EPSS work, the university will be regarded as the approved employee base. During Years 2 and 3 of training, you will be a valued member of the Norfolk EPSS team, contributing to consultation, assessment, intervention, training and systemic work across the authority. Upon qualification, we encourage successful trainees to continue their professional journey within Norfolk EPSS.
