Senior Product Development Technologist
Based in Worksop with travel to St Albans

Do you offer:
* BSc Food Science/Technology or related degree, Intermediate Food Hygiene, HNC Food Science/Technology, BTEC Food Science
* 3+ years development experience. 2-5 years experience gained from within a technical discipline.
* Able to manage their own projects independently

* Time Management and Problem solving skills
* Coaching and Training skills;

* Some previous supervisory or management skills would be valuable
What you'll be doing?
* To deliver new and existing product development for the related product area.
* Lead pilot plant trials and factory trials with operations, process and site technical teams at relevant sites
* Liaise with all site functions to progress projects.
* Progress all aspects of document control and process relating to project.
* Project team member representing development.
* To work with marketing and the consumers to develop ideas and shape projects.
* Monitor current trends and consumer food behaviors.
* To work with the Sensory and Marketing teams to set benchmarks.
* Understand the ingredients relating to specific products and work with suppliers.
* Maintain contact with internal and external organization to ensure issues are assessed and acted upon accordingly.
* Link to the technical support function at all sites of manufacture (internal and co-manufacture) to ensure efficient delivery of all programs.
* Deputise for NPD/Development Manager as appropriate.
* Manage the day to day work of assigned technicians/technologists and input into their skill development and appraisal (as appropriate for Senior Technologist). Support the training of specific skills to other members ofthe team as required.
* May have direct reports to manage as part of the overall team.
