Our client, a renowned and respected engineering consultancy, is looking for a Graduate Structural Engineer to join their growing team in Cambridge. This role offers the chance to work on a wide variety of exciting structural projects while gaining hands-on experience and mentorship from industry experts.
Brief outline of responsibilities:
Carry out structural calculations using hand methods and design software
Prepare and submit drawings and calculations for building control approval
Assist in producing specifications, working drawings, and technical reports
Collaborate with clients, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders
Site inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with design
Assess existing structures and provide recommendations for repairs or modifications
Work within Health & Safety and environmental regulations at all times
Contribute to project reporting and communication with project teams
About you:
Degree in civil or structural engineering
Up to 12 months of experience
Working knowledge of AutoCAD would be an advantage but is not essential
Strong teamwork ethic
Proactive, enthusiastic, and willing to learn and grow
