Grade A - £24,796 - £28,142 pro rata £13.03 per hour working (Monday – Friday) Two positions available - permanent contract at 22.5 hours per week and a 1-year fixed term contract at 15 hours per week both term time only. Allens Croft Primary School is a diverse, fully inclusive two-form entry school, with three Resource Base classes, set in extensive grounds in the Kings Heath area of Birmingham. We are looking to appoint committed, enthusiastic, self-motivated, reliable and caring General Assistants. The successful candidates will need to have experience of basic food preparation and service of food, working in a busy kitchen environment, good organisational skills and the ability to communicate effectively, being a team player, to start as soon as possible. The job purpose is to assist with the day-to-day operations of the school kitchen which includes assisting with the preparation, cooking and serving of food under the direction of the catering manager and supervisor. This will also include duties of cleaning the kitchen and dining room spaces before, during and after service.
