We are seeking a dedicated swimming teacher ready to take on additional responsibilities to support the day-to-day operations of the Leisure Centre. The successful candidate will act in the Manager’s absence, ensuring the centre is run safely and efficiently, and supervise facility use by the public.
This role requires excellent customer service, numeracy skills, and the ability to stay calm under pressure. You should be capable of leading a small team of swimming teachers, receptionists, and lifeguards, overseeing reception, payments, bookings, and administration. Compliance with health and safety policies, risk assessments, fire procedures, and emergency protocols is essential. You will also be responsible for securing the premises after hours.
The position involves operation and maintenance of electrical, disinfection, filtration, ventilation, and circulation systems in the plant room.
Poolside duties and teaching swimming lessons may be required.
Qualifications:
* Essential: Swimming Teacher qualifications, such as Swim England Level 1 and 2 or STA Award and Certificate.
