People and Culture Coordinator Apprentice
The post holder will provide support to the People and Culture Team which covers HR advisory, recruitment, learning and professional development, workforce information, organisational development and is based at our Head Office at Navigation Walk in Wakefield.
This post is an apprenticeship post which will support the central People and Culture team in providing efficient HR related administrative tasks. There is also the opportunity to gain functional Maths and English if not already obtained. The role offers the opportunity to develop People (HR) skills under the guidance of experienced professionals whilst undertaking the HR Level 3 Support programme.
An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. Around 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying. This leads to a nationally recognised qualification.
The successful candidate for this post will be expected to form positive working relationships across our multidisciplinary team, be able to adapt and be flexible within this fast-paced environment and demonstrate a genuine interest to work in this specialism.

Main duties of the job
The role involves a wide range of administrative responsibilities and is crucial in supporting the business and the People and Culture team. You will support with the recruitment processes, employee onboarding, maintaining employee records, basic HR advice and support, planning and organising training, induction, organisational development and related HR projects and responding to enquiries for the team.
The apprenticeship will last for a period of approximately 18 months and during this time the postholder will be paid on a developmental salary which is a percentage of the salary until successful completion of the apprenticeship is confirmed.

Education and Training
* NVQ level 2 or equivalent experience (eg GCSE grade 9-4)
* genuine interest in working in a People and Culture team
* prepared to study and complete NVQ 3 qualification
* willingness to develop own knowledge and skills and undertake training for the role
* qualification in maths and english
