The Opportunity
An inclusive and values-led Catholic primary school in Colchester is seeking an enthusiastic and reflective KS2 Teacher to take on a mixed Year 3/4 class from September 2025. Your Role
As the mixed Year 3/4 class teacher, you will:

Plan and deliver high-quality lessons tailored to a mixed-age class in line with the KS2 curriculum
*
Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every pupil can thrive
*
Use assessment effectively to identify next steps and personalise learning
*
Work closely with the wider staff team and leadership to raise attainment and share best practice
*
Build strong relationships with families, modelling the school’s Catholic values
*
Contribute to the wider life of the school through assemblies, liturgies, and extracurricular opportunities
What We’re Looking For
*
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
*
Experience in Key Stage 2, particularly with mixed or split-year classes is desirable
*
A secure understanding of the primary national curriculum
*
A reflective and nurturing approach to teaching
*
Someone supportive of the school’s Catholic ethos (you do not need to be Catholic to apply)

Excellent communication and classroom management skills
