Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experiencedProject Engineerto support the planning, coordination, and delivery of engineering projects from concept through to completion. This is a hands-on role requiring a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple workstreams effectively.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the lifecycle of assigned engineering projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery
* Develop project scopes, technical specifications, timelines, and resource plans
* Liaise with internal teams (maintenance, design, production) and external contractors or suppliers
* Monitor project progress, risk, and performance using appropriate project controls
* Coordinate procurement of equipment and materials for projects
* Ensure compliance with industry standards, health & safety regulations, and internal procedures
* Prepare and maintain technical documentation and progress reports
* Support commissioning, testing, and handover activities
* Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Required Skills and Experience
* Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical, Electrical, or General Engineering (or equivalent experience)
* Proven experience in a project engineering or coordination role within an industrial or manufacturing environment
* Strong understanding of engineering principles, systems, and maintenance practices
* Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
* Competent in interpreting technical drawings and schematics
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management tools
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Full UK driving licence (preferred)
Desirable
* Experience working on CAPEX or plant upgrade projects
* Familiarity with CMMS or ERP systems
* IOSH/NEBOSH or other safety-related training
