Position Title: Maintenance Technician
Location: Tamworth – Onsite
Position Overview
The Maintenance Technician will play a key role in maintaining and improving plant equipment to ensure operational reliability and safety. Reporting to the Engineering Team Leader, this role involves proactive and reactive maintenance, troubleshooting, and supporting continuous improvement across production operations, always working in line with company core values: Safety, Care, and Trust.
Primary Responsibilities
1. Perform preventive and reactive maintenance on plant and equipment, including vessels, decant stations, and pumping systems.
2. Conduct safety checks and ensure compliance with company and national standards.
3. Maintain accurate maintenance records using CMMS software (Emaint).
4. Collaborate with Technicians, Operators, and Team Leaders to resolve issues and meet production needs.
5. Escalate unresolved constraints to the Engineering Team Leader.
6. Support plant improvements, modifications, and installation of new equipment.
7. Assist in developing and following standard maintenance operating procedures.
8. Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Minimum Requirements
9. Level 2/3 qualification in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
10. 1–3 years of engineering/maintenance experience.
11. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
12. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
13. Competent in using CMMS software, Microsoft Office, and ERP systems.
14. Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and preventive maintenance practices.
Preferred Requirements
15. FLT license.
16. Permit writing experience (training provided if needed).
17. Awareness of DSEAR regulations and P&ID diagrams.
