Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and fast-learning Electrician's Mate / Apprentice to assist an experienced Electrical Engineer in installing energy-reduction technologies in commercial settings. You will work primarily with clients in the hospitality and leisure sectors, contributing to innovative solutions that promote energy efficiency and sustainability.

Salary: £26k - £30K basic £500/month bonus
Responsibilities:
* Assist the Electrical Engineer with installations, ensuring work is completed efficiently and safely.
* Learn and support the use of energy-reduction technologies in commercial properties.
* Help with tasks such as cutting cables straight, drilling holes, and affixing boxes to walls.
* Perform cable crimping and other preparatory tasks with precision and care.
* Adhere to Health and Safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment at all times.
* Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the proper handling and storage of tools and materials.
* Communicate effectively with the Electrical Engineer and clients, ensuring professionalism at all times.
* Be willing to travel to various job sites, which may involve overnight stays.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
* First Aid certification, with the ability to render resuscitation confidently and competently.
* A strong understanding of Health and Safety procedures in a commercial setting.
* Eagerness to learn and ability to pick up new skills quickly.
* Ability to cut cables straight, perform cable crimping, and assist with drilling and mounting.
* A proactive attitude, with a willingness to assist wherever needed.
* Friendly and approachable demeanor when dealing with customers.
* Flexibility to travel and stay overnight as required for project locations.
* Physical fitness and the ability to work in varied environments.
Desirable Skills (but not essential):
* Previous experience as an Electrician’s Mate or working in a similar environment.
* Familiarity with energy-saving technologies or electrical installations.
