The Role
Licenced Aircraft Engineer – Base Maintenance Longhaul
Our Engineering department is evolving, offering greater flexibility with aircraft type ratings, supported by comprehensive training. We are experiencing growth with our fleet, including B777s, B787s, A350s, and A380s, with more on the way.
This role involves working both day and night shifts on a 2-day and 2-night shift pattern.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership
* Lead maintenance activities, setting clear targets and expectations.
* Ensure team and individual compliance with procedures, policies, and regulations.
* Oversee the completion of maintenance tasks through effective supervision and resource management.
* Provide guidance to ensure safety and compliance standards are met.
Technical Expertise
* Maintain qualification and authorisation on all relevant aircraft types, vehicles, and equipment.
* Ensure a safe working environment adhering to safety standards and regulations.
* Conduct competency checks and utilize technology for documentation and communication.
* Continuously update knowledge and skills.
Team Collaboration
Work with Duty Shift Managers, Satellite Engineers, Production teams, and Technical Support groups.
Qualifications
* Unrestricted CAA UK Part-66 Category B1 and/or B2 licence.
* For B1, at least one type rating in the B1.1 category.
* For B2, at least one type rating in the B2 category.
* UK Driving Licence or equivalent.
* Recent experience certifying aircraft (within the last 2 years).
Training & Development
* Type course training at Heathrow’s technical facility.
* Industry-leading Part-147 / Part-145 training programs.
* Access to professional development via our Global Learning Academy.
