ROLE TITLE: Test Engineer
LOCATION: Leicester, London or Manchester
The ideal candidate will have active SC Clearance or be eligible to undergo SC Clearance.

Job Purpose/The Role
This role sits within a high‑profile national transformation programme, working as part of an experienced delivery team to support and enhance the testing of a major central government application.
Your Key Responsibilities
Contribute to a high‑profile national transformation programme by supporting the testing of a large‑scale central government application.
Collaborate with business analysts to understand and validate user and system requirements.
Define clear, detailed, and accurate test scenarios based on functional and non‑functional requirements.
Execute test cases to assess system behaviour, quality, and overall performance.
Document test results, identify issues or defects, and track them through to resolution.
Work closely with the wider delivery team to refine and improve testing practices and processes.
Ensure testing activities support the delivery of a reliable, secure, and high‑quality mission‑critical system.
Your Skills
Minimum 5 years UK residency
Experience in Performance Testing
Hands‑on experience with Cucumber for automated testing
Proficiency in Java
Practical experience using JIRA for work tracking and issue management
Familiarity with Confluence for documentation and collaboration
