The Details:
* Title: Activity Instructor
* Contract: Seasonal holiday work available, opportunities in Easter, Summer and Half Term holidays.
* Hours: 8.30am – 5.30pm weekdays. Full time or part time roles available and additional hours for staff with a paediatric first aid qualification (usually 8am – 6pm).
* Paid pre-camp training programme to prepare you to be an Ultimate staff member.

Summary of Position:
The role of an Activity Instructor is to ensure the welfare and safety of the children on camp and to deliver outstanding, structured activities. You will deliver a range of activities including sports, arts and crafts, and games catered to ages 6-14 with an emphasis on participation, care and development. We provide training and support for all individuals and opportunities to develop skills and knowledge of working in a childcare setting.
Staff lead sessions and contribute to a high standard of physical, emotional and social care offered by Ultimate Activity Camps. Instructors have a pastoral role as the leader of a group of children on camp, with a focus on welfare and high quality care.

Essential Requirements
* Experience of working with children and delivering activities.
* Ability to tailor delivery and structure of a session according to age and ability.
* Enthusiastic, energetic and passionate about developing children through play and activity.
* Good organisation and communication skills. Confident to lead a group of children and take responsibility.
* Flexible team player, able to adapt to dynamic situations on camp.
* Seeking a challenging but rewarding job in the holidays, with interest in childcare and coaching careers.
Desirable Requirements
* Qualified in or working towards a relevant sport, art, performing arts, teaching or childcare qualification.
* Experience taking sole charge of a group of children.
* Paediatric First Aid (12 or 6 hour) or First Aid at Work qualification (courses can be provided).
