Join a respected professional body as a Membership Administrator, supporting over 1,000 health care and medical members and contributing to the delivery of a high-profile international conference.
Were seeking a proactive, detail-oriented individual from a medical, healthcare, charities, hospital, NHS type background to provide secretarial and administrative support while playing a key role across governance, membership services, event coordination, and digital communications.
This is a varied and rewarding role within a small, friendly team ideal for someone who thrives on structure, precision, and purpose. From CRM and committee minutes to social media and website updates, your work will help shape the member experience and support the organisations wider mission.
Key Responsibilities
Committee Support
Provide secretarial and admin support for Executive, Council,Global, and ad hoc committees
Book meeting rooms, catering, and AV
Prepare agendas, paperwork, and take minutes
Attend meetings and follow up on actions
Keep committee information up to date on the website
Membership Administration
Manage the membership database (CRM)
Process applications and prepare approval lists for Council and AGM
Respond to member enquiries and chase arrears
Maintain accurate records
Support membership marketing and engagement
Ballot Coordination
Maintain job descriptions for committee and membership roles
Issue calls for nominations and prepare ballot papers
Update officer and Council member profiles online
Communications & Social Media
Act as first point of contact for incoming correspondence
Respond or redirect queries appropriately
Contribute to social media around events, campaigns, and announcements
Help promote conferences and courses across digital platforms
Website Management (CMS)
Update website content (training provided)
Promote events and courses online
Action communications received via the website
Ensure content is accurate, timely, and engaging
To Apply, You Must Have:
A strong academic foundation with evidence of ongoing professional development (courses, certifications, or exams)
Excellent communication skills and confidence engaging at all levels
Meticulous attention to detail and strong organisational skills
Experience in a membership-based, health, charity, or medical organisation
Proven admin experience in a professional office setting
Hands-on experience with membership administration
Minute-taking experience
Confidence using CRM, CMS, and Microsoft Office
Skills in social media content creation and website editing
Strong written communication and multitasking ability

Assisting with speaker coordination and admin for two major UK conferences per year
Salary: UP TO £35,000 incl. London weighting Hours: Full-time, 36.5 hrs/week Hybrid: Some remote working available Location: Central London WC2
