Maintenance & Facilities Engineer

JOB OVERVIEW
Do you possess an analytical and problem-solving mindset? Are you an ambitious Maintenance Facilities Engineer seeking an exciting opportunity within high-speed manufacturing?
We are specifically seeking candidates with a strong Car Mechanic or Automotive Technician background who can rapidly apply their expert diagnostic and hands-on repair skills to our industrial equipment.
You will interact with several departments to ensure that our manufacturing process continues to deliver world-class products as efficiently as possible through efficient preventative maintenance, emergency breakdown response, and continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing areas. You will deliver manufacturing targets by ensuring the equipment is maintained to a world-class standard. The role will assist in projects to deliver quality, productivity, safety improvements, and cost reductions.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
* Ensure manufacturing equipment is available and maintained to the correct standard.
* Ensure all facility requirements are met and maintained (e.g., legionella, COSHH).
* Troubleshoot equipment and facility issues, and repair equipment to ensure day-to-day manufacturing issues are resolved and actioned in a timely manner.
* Complete essential preventative maintenance tasks and be willing to work flexibly when required.
* Analyse daily equipment metrics and use data-driven decisions to improve processes and generate reports to document findings.
* Implementation, development, and delivery of a Scheduled Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) System.
* Development and implementation of adequate Contactor Control of Works (CCoW) and Safe Systems of Work (SSW).
* Reporting on maintenance spend and stock levels.
* Ensure business-critical spare parts are identified and available at all times.
* Take ownership and actively promote high standards of health and safety at all times.
* Prioritise completion of actions identified through internal and external audits.
* Support and lead Continuous Improvement initiatives.
SKILLS REQUIRED
* Proven Diagnostic Skills: Strong Mechanical knowledge of manufacturing equipment maintenance. (Will consider Multi-skilled candidates, especially those with comprehensive automotive diagnostic and repair experience).
* Working knowledge of control systems.
* Hands-on experience of manufacturing equipment reactive and PPM and troubleshooting issues within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
* Continuous improvement mindset.
* Experience of Health and Safety and Environmental compliance.
* Experience of ISO 9001.
* Good Microsoft Office experience and knowledge.

* Proactive and can-do approach and have the ability to recognise potential issues and apply remedial action before they raise concern or affect operations.
* Self-motivated with a self-learning approach to training.
* Methodical and acute attention to detail.
* Ability to communicate at all levels within the organisation.
* You must be fully flexible regarding working hours and willing to work some weekends.
