Fleet product manager (rental, leasing and asset management) – TieTalent
This role focuses on optimizing fleet management and asset lifecycle processes within the Plant & Fleet department. You will drive strategy, efficiency, and collaboration to enhance vehicle utilisation, reduce costs, and ensure smooth fleet operations, with a safety-first, client- and customer-centric approach.
What you’ll be doing
* Develop and implement strategies to optimise vehicle utilisation and fleet efficiency using data analytics and fleet management systems.
* Provide detailed reporting on fleet operations, budgeting, and performance analysis to support informed decision-making.
* Oversee day-to-day fleet performance: track revenues, mileages, fuel usage, and billing to maintain smooth operations.
* Support month-end financial processes by analysing movements in P&L values for clarity and accuracy.
* Collaborate with procurement to manage ordering and delivery tracking of new vehicles and ensure funding is cleared at disposal.
* Liaise with external funders to maintain accurate financial records throughout the lifecycle of agreements and make strategic recommendations at contract end.
* Work with lease customers on account reviews and advise on renewal, extension, or de-fleeting strategies.
* Assess vehicles beyond economical repair, advise on condition, and help maximise proceeds through smart disposal recommendations.
* Take charge of telematics operations and contribute to shaping M Group’s telematics strategy to enhance fleet efficiency and performance.
What you’ll bring
* Proven experience in fleet management, hire operations, and asset lifecycle functions.
* Strong understanding of vehicle hire and leasing and ability to maximise utilisation.
* Excellent leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to analyse data and optimise fleet operations using digital tools.
* Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
* Proficiency in fleet management software and tracking systems.
