Job Summary
The candidate will work in the Supplier Partnerships team within Government Skills providing delivery support to our apprenticeship commercial team who manage central apprenticeship training contracts. The candidate will have the opportunity to learn about apprenticeship commercial services in a role that works across a range of stakeholders including civil service departments, professions and external training providers as well as multiple Government Skills functions.
The apprenticeship commercial team contract manages central apprenticeship training contracts offered across Civil Service departments; supports new apprenticeship procurement and works with GPG colleagues to encourage apprenticeship goals be added to department local workforce plans.
The role holder will report to the Contract Manager and be responsible for:
Responsibilities
* Monitoring usage of central apprenticeship contracts. Quality assuring supplier usage and spend data to ensure accuracy. Presenting data in easily usable formats to inform decision making and strategy
* Conduct ‘deep dive’ exercises into data as required e.g., levy spend, completion rates, quality and social mobility;
* Effectively manage the ‘help desk’, and provide a quality service by responding to queries in a timely and efficient manner. Escalate queries as appropriate;
* Develop relationships with departments, suppliers and regulatory bodies to maximise data gathering efficiencies and identify cross data set insights / trend analysis
* Support Apprenticeship commercial team activities by arranging meetings, minute taking, monitoring project plans and escalating issues in a timely fashion
* Support best practice with contract management by maintaining and storing documents within agreed systems
* Building productive relationships with operational teams with FSET and wider Civil Service
