About the Role

We are part of a large integrated drug and alcohol service working with some of Cornwall's most excluded and disadvantaged people. Successful candidates will work alongside in-house services including community, clinical, criminal justice, and a residential rehabilitation facility.

The Housing Support Grant (HSG) project supports clients with drug and alcohol issues at risk of losing their tenancy. Eligibility requires clients to be in temporary, supported, emergency, or private rented accommodation.
You will be a resilient, committed individual with understanding of the challenges faced by homeless or insecurely housed individuals.
We work with community teams and external agencies to support clients in maintaining their accommodation. The focus is on providing whatever support is needed.
If successful, you will need to provide three years of references and undergo an enhanced DBS check where applicable.
* Experience in outreach, housing/homelessness, health, social care, criminal justice, domestic abuse, or related fields
* Successful track record with substance misuse clients
* Resilient, able to prioritize and work under pressure
* Knowledge of health and safety, assessing high-risk situations
* Excellent communication skills
* IT competence
* Understanding of homelessness, assessment, care planning, and key working
* Ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders
* Teamwork skills
* Full UK Driving Licence and own transport (travel across Cornwall)
* Flexibility to work unsocial hours, including occasional Saturdays
