Duties as English Supply Teacher:
* Deliver pre-planned English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
* Support pupils with reading, writing, and spoken language activities
* Maintain positive behaviour and clear classroom routines
* Adapt teaching approaches to suit different abilities and learning needs
* Encourage pupil engagement and confidence in English lessons
* Follow school policies and procedures while on placement
* Provide feedback to departments or cover managers as required
* Uphold safeguarding, welfare, and health and safety responsibilities at all times
Ideal English Supply Teacher:
* Qualified Teacher Status or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
* Experience teaching English at secondary level
* Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for English education
* Confident classroom and behaviour management skills
* Flexible, reliable, and adaptable approach to supply work
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
