Business Area: Nestlé Professional

Location: Gatwick (Hybrid working – approx. 2 flexible days a week in our fantastic office)

Salary £35k to £40k dependent upon experience + potential bonus + 12 flexible days in addition to holiday entitlement + other fantastic benefits

Position Summary

We are delighted to recruit a Contract and Bid Manager to expand our sales team and deliver Sales Digital Transformation in the market. Reporting to the Head of Commercial Excellence, you will drive, develop and acquire new contracted business across Nestlé Professional categories in target channels, and retain existing key customer contracts. You will manage all Customer Contracts via the Sales CRM tool (C4C) and the Nestlé Professional online tender desk.

A little bit about us Nestlé Professional (NP) is our Business-to-Business foodservice arm, specialising in the Out of Home solutions market. The NP portfolio includes brands such as Garden Gourmet and coffee brands including We Proudly Serve STARBUCKS and NESCAFE. NP operates in a large marketplace and aims to drive growth for Nestlé by providing branded, creative solutions that help customers grow their business, increase end-user footfall and profit.

A day in the life of a Contract and Bid Manager

Key responsibilities will include the following:

* Own the Tender process, coordinating with Sales Teams, Nestlé in the Market (NIM), and Business Support to meet submission timelines
* Build Tender / Contract pipeline
* Manage central documentation for long-term contracts
* Report on One Nestlé key customer tender opportunities
* Enable Sales to win more new business by providing best-in-class tender materials and collateral via an online Tender Desk (Information Library and Tender Library)
* Deliver compelling contract and tender proposals using multiple media; engage internal stakeholders across NiM (Legal, Finance, Health & Safety, Supply Chain, Regulatory, etc.) to ensure audit-compliant processes
* Provide monthly visibility of key contracts (Acquire, Develop, Retain) through the Monthly Business Planning (MBP) process; communicate contract performance across the organisation and align resources to deliver winning propositions
* Post-evaluation of tenders and contracts and share learnings with stakeholders
* External networking with priority RTM customers and industry bodies to maintain visibility of major Out Of Home contracts
* Ensure the Nestlé Professional Contract Library is up to date with relevant materials and certifications


What will make you successful

To be successful, you’ll have sales/commercial experience (ideally within FMCG). You should be highly motivated with strong commercial acumen, good project skills, and the ability to lead virtual teams across a multi-functional environment to deliver winning propositions.

You will also:

* Have proven experience creating compelling customer propositions
* Have a proven track record of evaluating activity and making recommendations based on outcomes
* Be analytical and able to use insightful information effectively
* Have legal or contracts experience
* Demonstrate a solid understanding of commercial and financial situations
* Be proficient in Excel and comfortable with other Microsoft Office programs
* Have strong, flexible communication skills and styles
* Be organised and adept at planning and prioritising workloads
* Have a creative flair to identify new and effective ways of making contract pitches using digital tools
