About the role Reporting to the Chief Product Officer - Power Electronics, you will work within our busy Power Electronics Development & Validation team. As a Power Electronics Development Engineer, you will provide technical input to the engineering process by specifying analysis methods, development hardware and testing to ensure the product attributes are achieved. What will you do Provide detailed input to the design and manufacturing engineering teams, ensuring the end product meets the requirements, and make recommendations for product design changes Create and maintain Design Verification Plans for new products Create internal test procedures and external test requests at the system, sub-system and component levels Analyse test data and create test reports Support product compliance with applicable regulations and standards Track and solve technical issues and work with the design team to implement corrective actions Assess motor performance and correlate to simulation results Collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineering teams to ensure products work as a whole Review and define requirements for new products Education/Qualifications Required: Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronic or similar disciplines complimented by industrial experience Experience Required: Strong experience working within power electronics, electrical machines & drives Skills & Attributes Required: Proficient theoretical knowledge within a similar industry Is highly detail oriented Ability to see the bigger picture and think laterally Is comfortable stepping outside their core area of expertise and supporting all areas of the product If this role excites you, we would love to hear from you
