GSL Education are currently recruiting for a full-time SEMH Teaching Assistant to work with pupils who require additional behavioural and emotional support. This role involves working both on-site and off-site, so a full UK driving licence with business insurance is essential. As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include: Supporting pupils with SEMH needs on a one-to-one basis and in small groups. Providing consistent emotional and behavioural support tailored to individual needs. Assisting with off-site provisions and transporting students when required. Helping to manage challenging behaviour and build positive relationships. Working closely with teachers, parents, and support staff to promote pupil wellbeing and progress. To be a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will require: Experience working with children or young people with SEMH or challenging behaviour. Be calm, empathetic, and resilient under pressure. Must hold a full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle and business insurance. Be confident supporting learning across a range of subjects and settings. Have an enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one. Provide a full, up-to-date CV with explanations for any employment gaps over the past 10 years.
