We are working in partnership with Central and North West London (CNWL) NHS Foundation Trust to recruit an experienced Pharmacist to support services within a community hospital setting.
This role offers the opportunity to contribute to safe, high-quality, patient-centred care within a respected NHS Foundation Trust, supporting medicines optimisation and clinical pharmacy services across inpatient and secure healthcare pathways.
About the Role
As a Pharmacist within CNWL, you will:
* Deliver pharmacy services in line with GPhC standards, NHS governance, and local SOPs
* Clinically screen and verify prescriptions for appropriateness, interactions, contraindications, and dosing accuracy
* Support medicines reconciliation and optimisation initiatives
* Provide patient counselling and discharge medication advice
* Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams including medical, nursing, and secure healthcare staff
* Ensure safe management of medicines, including controlled drugs
* Maintain accurate and timely documentation within electronic prescribing systems
* Contribute to audit, governance, and patient safety processes
This role requires on-site working within a community hospital setting.
Essential Requirements
* MPharm degree (or equivalent)
* Current GPhC registration in good standing
* Experience within an NHS hospital, community, or secure healthcare setting
* Ability to work independently with strong clinical judgement
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Valid UK Prison Clearance (essential)
* Up-to-date compliance documentation (Right to Work, DBS where required)
Desirable
* Previous experience in community hospital or secure healthcare pharmacy
* Familiarity with NHS electronic prescribing systems
* Experience supporting medicines optimisation initiatives
