Job summary
As Deputy Chief Economist (Development) in FCDO you will work in the central Economics & Evaluation Directorate (EED), which sits within DG Economics, Climate and Global Issues, and provide lead Development Economist expertise in FCDO, supporting the Chief Economist in providing economic advice to the Foreign Secretary on all the UK�s foreign and development policy.
EED aims to be one of the leading UK authorities on the international economy. Increasing the impact of FCDO activities by delivering evidence-based analysis and advice for senior decision makers and Ministers and through advancing the practice and use of evaluation across FCDO. Deputy Chief Economist (Development) will play a key role in influencing and informing the implementation of the International Development White Paper and UK efforts to get SDG�s back on track.
