About Our Client

Our client is a specialist fire consultancy providing comprehensive, innovative fire safety solutions across the UK. They deliver robust, compliant, and performance-driven fire engineering strategies across housing, healthcare, education, commercial, and complex mixed-use developments — collaborating with industry leaders in safety, engineering, and building design.

As one of the UK’s most respected and forward-thinking fire consultancies, our client combines technical excellence, strategic insight, and practical delivery capability. Their culture rewards curiosity, integrity, and collaboration — united by a shared mission to make buildings safer for people nationwide.

The Role

We’re seeking Fire Specialists to join our client’s growing Fire Engineering & Consultancy team in London.

This is an excellent opportunity for fire professionals to grow their expertise within a dynamic environment that values technical innovation, collaborative problem-solving, and continuous development.

You’ll play a key role in delivering fire engineering strategies, undertaking complex assessments, and supporting the development of junior engineers. Senior Engineers will naturally take on greater autonomy and client interaction, but all core responsibilities remain the same.

Key Responsibilities - Training Provided

* Develop fire strategy reports for new and existing buildings.
* Undertake fire safety design and performance-based engineering analysis.
* Conduct fire safety risk assessments and review drawings, specifications, and technical reports for compliance.
* Collaborate with architects, design teams, contractors, and project managers to deliver compliant, practical solutions.
* Carry out site inspections, surveys, and attend project meetings.
* Provide guidance and support to Graduate Engineers where appropriate.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of fire safety legislation, standards, codes, and digital fire engineering tools.

About You

* Degree in Fire Engineering or a related engineering/technical discipline.
* Experience in a fire engineering or fire safety consultancy environment.
* Experience or exposure to retrospective fire strategy development (desirable).
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
* Effective written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively within multi-disciplinary design teams.
* Commitment to working toward professional recognition (IFE, CEng, or equivalent).

What’s on Offer

* Competitive salary, dependent on experience, £50k up to £85k.
* Employees have the opportunity to earn up to 50% of their annual salary as part of the company's bonus scheme.
* Clear progression pathways, including Principal Engineer level and Chartership support.
* Comprehensive CPD, technical training, and mentoring.
* Opportunity to work with one of the UK’s most advanced fire engineering and digital modelling teams.
* Unlimited holidays linked to personal and team performance.
* Bupa private healthcare for you and your family.
* Flexible and hybrid working options, with offices in London, the Midlands, the Southwest, and Scotland — or remote working available.
* Exposure to landmark UK projects and cutting-edge fire safety technologies.

If you’re ready to join a pioneering fire engineering team and feel that you have the relevant experience to be successful in this position, please send an up-to-date CV outlining your experience.
