What You'll Be Doing:
* Preparing delicious, high-quality food that delights our clients and customers
* Identifying opportunities to improve our food service and menus
* Creating a positive kitchen environment where your team feel welcomed and supported
* Delivering tasty and innovative food concepts that align with Compass Group standards
* Representing Compass Group UK&I and maintaining a strong, positive brand image
* Ordering food, managing stock control, and controlling food waste
* Overseeing kitchen cleaning and hygiene standards
* Managing budgets and achieving financial targets
* Complying with Food Handling, Hygiene, and Health & Safety regulations
The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Hold a City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent qualification
* Have experience in a similar Head Chef role
* Be a brilliant communicator with the ability to build strong team relationships
* Create a positive work environment where the whole kitchen team can thrive
* Take initiative and make sound decisions for the benefit of customers and team
* Show enthusiasm, motivation, and a drive to deliver excellence
* Demonstrate exceptional timekeeping and reliability
* Thrive under pressure and remain calm and focused
* Be safety-conscious with a strong understanding of food hygiene
* Be genuinely passionate about food and culinary innovation
