Overview
An enthusiastic, flexible and motivated staff nurse is invited to join our friendly, busy team. The successful applicant will be based in the Women’s Health Unit at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital, with expected cross-site work across CTMUHB as required.
The post holder will undertake delegated duties with supervision and mentorship, following a period of training and completion of core competencies. The role will involve cross-site working within CTMUHB.
Welsh Skills Desirable: This post is advertised as Welsh Desirable. It does not require Welsh language skills, but basic speaking & listening at Level 3 (CEFR B2) is advantageous for shortlisting. Level 3 means basic conversations with patients about their everyday health.
The post holder will participate in providing high-quality, comprehensive Women’s, Integrated Sexual and Reproductive Health services as part of the multidisciplinary team within the Colposcopy/Hysteroscopy Unit. They may be required to work at Royal Glamorgan Hospital, Prince Charles Hospital, and other areas within the service (e.g., EPAU/GDAU).
The opportunity exists to acquire additional skills to function as an independent practitioner. Work is managed within established parameters, with supervision as appropriate.
Duties/Responsibilities Include
* Responsibility for the management of resources in the absence of senior staff, ensuring optimal use of all resources within the area.
* Participate in maintaining the standards of client care set by the department.
* Ensure practice aligns with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and is based on evidence-based practice.
* Ensure personal and professional development plans reflect the requirements of the NMC and PREP.
