Ruminant Sales Specialist (Dairy/Beef/Sheep) – Central England - Competitive base salary + Bonus + Vehicle
The Job:
We are seeking a motivated and commercially focused Ruminant Sales Specialist to take ownership of a sales territory, working with dairy, beef, and sheep farmers. You will be responsible for selling compounds, blends, straights, and performance products while supporting customers with technical and practical solutions to achieve their production and sustainability goals.
Key responsibilities include:
* Territory planning, farm prospecting, and new business conversion
* Coordinating forage analysis and ration reviews, ensuring practical, on-farm implementation
* Driving sales of compounds alongside straights and performance lines
* Running farmer discussion groups and supporting local shows/open days
* Maintaining CRM systems, forecasting accurately, and monitoring account credit
* Reporting weekly on volume, margin, and pipeline activity
The Company:
We are representing a well established, independent, family owned feed manufacturer with over 150 years of experience serving UK farmers. Based in the Midlands, they supply both ruminant and mono gastric feeds across Central England and beyond. With UFAS/FEMAS accreditation, the business is committed to sustainability, quality and building long term farmer relationships.
The Candidate:
* Proven track record in ruminant field sales, or strong herdsperson/assistant manager background seeking a move into sales
* Commercially astute, able to build value around yield, daily liveweight gain, fertility, and herd health
* Confident with rationing tools, forage KPIs, and cross-selling opportunities
* FAR registered (or willing to work towards)
* Full UK driving licence
* Organised, resilient, and credible with progressive dairy and beef farmers
