Job Description
We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join a thriving finance team within a leading business based in Exeter. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, this is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the production of management accounts, treasury management, and wider financial reporting.
The Role:
* Preparation of monthly management accounts & reports
* Month-end close-down and reconciliations (nominal ledger, control accounts, stock, accruals & prepayments)
* Preparation of UK & Irish VAT returns
* First approver for BACS/SEPA payments and oversight of multi-currency accounts
* Assist with year-end audit files & statutory accounts
* Support ERP implementation and reporting improvements
* Liaise with commercial, purchasing, and IT teams to ensure financial accuracy and consistency
What Were Looking For:
1. Minimum AAT Level 4 (or equivalent) studying ACCA/ACA/CIMA desirable
2. Strong Excel skills and sound accounting knowledge
3. Excellent communicator, able to collaborate across teams and departments
4. Highly organised with strong attention to detail
5. Ambitious, proactive, and keen to drive improvements
