Tranent Medical Practice is seeking an Assistant Practice Manager. We are a large and progressive practice based in an expanding East Lothian town, just 12 miles from central Edinburgh. We have a practice list of 14,200 patients. This is a key position in our management team.
This role is to ensures smooth day-to-day operations, compliance with policies and regulations, and the delivery of high-quality patient care. Responsibilities include supporting the management of administrative and reception teams, coordinating resources, assisting with financial and performance targets, and contributing to planning and service improvement. The Assistant Practice Manager will be a key point of contact for staff and patients, promoting a positive, professional and supportive environment while helping to maintain resilience, consistency and excellent service across the Practice. The Assistant Practice Manager will work closely with Practice Manager to ensure the effective and efficient running of the practice.
The ideal candidate will have supervisory or management experience in General Practice, be a good team-player, and have a positive approach to dealing with a wide variety of responsibilities. An excellent salary and benefits package is offered.
