Job Description
Our client are an award winning Garden Design company based at beautiful Central London offices.
As a Buyer you will be responsible for place the vast majority of purchase orders in collaboration with the business commercial lead.
You will be the main point of contact between the office and our site teams in relation to procurement and will be responsible for ensuring best value is attained for all orders whilst ensuring all other KPIs are met.
Key Responsibilities
Purchase Orders& Procurement
* Receive and understand requisitions from site teams and design team for all projects
* Seek best value products that meet the delivery time scale requirements.
* Place Purchase Orders using LiveCosts platform.
* Allocation of Purchase Orders to appropriate Job Numbers and Cost Heads
Delivery Schedules
* Coordinate with site teams and suppliers to assist in scheduling deliveries
* Update delivery schedules/weekly schedules with expected deliveries for each site.
Invoice Allocations
* Take receipt of invoices and upload to LiveCosts.
* Review invoices on LiveCosts and allocate to appropriate jobs & cost heads.
Inventory & Overheads
* Assist the Operations Managers with Inventory Management
* Raise Purchase Orders and procure items in relation to the day-to-day functions of the office / business.
* Allocate orders / costs on LiveCosts for effective Overhead cost tracking
Other Responsibilities
* Update and manage the Master Job Number Tracker, ensuring new job numbers are uploaded to QuickBooks, Pleo, and Amazon accounts.
* Create new job folders in line with the business filing structure.
* Manage Supplier Database
* Assist Commercial Lead with Pleo receipt & project allocations

* Uphold the company’s commitment to exceptional quality, design integrity, and client service in every aspect of your work.
* Promote best practice in sustainability, planting design, and material selection—keeping abreast of new trends, products, and technical solutions.
* Diligently maintain accurate project records, correspondence, and documentation.
In summary:
The Buyer role for this client is an essential part of the efficient functioning of the day-to-day business activities. As a vital link between the site teams and the office staff, the Buyer will be trusted to place orders of varying value to ensure best value is obtained whilst maintaining the high output standards as well as the overall business profit objectives.
Good IT skills (especially MS Excel) and accuracy are essential.
