Category Manager Full Time Permanent 39,000-45,000 Morgan Hunt are delighted to be working with a public sector organisation who are looking to welcome 2 category managers of a full time and permanent basis. Key Responsibilities: Manage the full tender process from preparation and evaluation to award in line with policy and legislation. Lead supplier negotiations, review contract terms, and drive commercial value. Oversee supplier relationships, contract performance, and compliance. Provide expert procurement advice and support to colleagues across the organisation. Develop market insight to inform sourcing strategies and identify opportunities for improvement. Promote best practice and ethical procurement standards. Work collaboratively with finance, procurement, and operational teams. Qualifications and Experience: Full or working towards Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (MCIPS) membership. Proven procurement experience in the public or private sector. Strong knowledge of UK public procurement law (including GPA and Scottish regulations). Experience of leading or influencing teams and stakeholders.
