While specific responsibilities will depend on the changing needs of Tesco, the following provides an overview of the key responsibilities and measures:
* Engage with stakeholders and Senior Product Manager to formulate the vision, strategy, and long-term roadmap, managing stakeholder expectations and dependencies across multiple products and teams.
* Understand key user personas, customers, and stakeholders, along with their pain points.
* Effectively document and communicate requirements to engineering using user stories, personas, and acceptance tests; assist in breaking down complex work into smaller, deliverable chunks.
* Lead sprint and release planning sessions to maximize business value with minimal effort.
* Drive discovery work around MVPs for new products or features, collaborating with teams to prototype and validate.
* Conduct experiments based on hypotheses, creating MVPs to support data-driven decisions on product improvements and performance indicators.
Understanding observability concepts
* Strong grasp of logs, metrics, and traces.
* Familiarity with distributed systems, microservices, and their challenges.
* Ability to promote observability practices within the organization.
Experience with Observability tools:
* Hands-on experience with tools like New Relic, Splunk, Grafana, VM, and OpenTelemetry.
* Knowledge of current trends in observability frameworks and standards.
Engineering experience:
* Ability to collaborate with engineering teams, understanding their perspectives, and translating needs into product features.
* Familiarity with software development lifecycle, CI/CD, DevOps, APIs, and backend applications.
Data Analysis:
* Ability to analyze complex data for patterns, anomalies, and opportunities.
