Link 16 is a military tactical data link exchange network used to provide situational awareness for a variety of uses. The term "Network Design" covers the process of specifying the communications requirements for a given scenario, translating them into sets of terminal initialisation data and distributing the completed network designs to all intended participants. UK National Office based at DXC Office (currently Royal Pavilion, Aldershot) Day to Day Responsibilities Production and maintenance of Test Strategies. Input to requirements capture and high-level design activities to ensure testability. Input to developer testing to ensure compliance to the Test Strategies. Production and maintenance of System, Regression and (customer) Acceptance Test Specifications / Plans and associated Test Cases. Production and maintenance of System, Regression and (customer) Acceptance Test Scripts derived from the Test Cases. Identification, production, and maintenance of tools to assist with the execution of Test Scripts. Preparation of procedures for the execution of System and (customer) Acceptance Tests. Set-up of Test Rigs (bare metal and virtual). Scheduling and supervision of the execution of Integration, System and (customer) Acceptance Tests When required, execution of Integration, System and (customer) Acceptance Tests. Processing of Integration, System and (customer) Acceptance Test observations. Production of Retest Plans for System and (customer) Acceptance Test. Preparation of System and (customer) Acceptance Test Reports. Contribute, alongside all members of the team, to day-to-day customer support; maintenance and update of hardware spares; production and maintenance of user documentation; delivery and export activities; asset management and configuration management. Contribute, alongside the project manager, to maintenance and update of the project management plan. Essential Skills Manual testing of Windows applications. Microsoft Office - Excel and Word (2013 minimum). Microsoft Visual Studio (2015 minimum) - build, C++, C#, debug. Scripting language, e.g., Python.
