About the Role As an Unqualified Primary Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to support pupils throughout the school day. You'll help create a positive and engaging learning environment, provide support to individual pupils and small groups, and assist with day-to-day classroom activities. Key Responsibilities Support teachers in delivering lessons across the primary curriculum. Work with pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups. Encourage pupil engagement, participation, and confidence in learning. Assist with classroom preparation and learning resources. Support pupils with varying learning abilities and needs. Help maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment. Promote positive behaviour and follow school policies and procedures. Support pupils during breaktimes, educational activities, and school events where required. Requirements Experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential. A genuine interest in education and supporting children's development. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A positive, proactive, and flexible approach to work. Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
