Verus Search has been retained by an award-winning, privately owned software solutions business to appoint a Managing Director as they embark on their next phase of growth and expansion. Operating within the mobile workforce management and field service technology sector, our client has built a strong reputation for delivering innovative cloud-based software solutions that support operational efficiency, compliance, customer service, and commercial performance for organisations operating field-based workforces. With an established customer base, a highly scalable platform, and the backing of a larger technology group, the business is entering an exciting new phase of strategic and commercial growth. Reporting to the Group Managing Director, the successful candidate will take full responsibility for the leadership, strategic direction, and overall performance of the business. This will include developing and delivering the company strategy, leading the ongoing evolution of the product roadmap, driving recurring revenue growth, overseeing operational delivery, and ensuring the business continues to scale effectively within a competitive SaaS environment. The Managing Director will work closely with internal stakeholders, customers, and the wider Group leadership team to strengthen market position, improve operational performance, and capitalise on future growth opportunities. The Managing Director will also lead the commercial and financial performance of the business, including full P&L responsibility, budgeting, forecasting, investment planning, and performance reporting. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong commercial and financial acumen, strategic leadership capability, and the ability to operate effectively within a fast-paced, growth-oriented SaaS business environment. The following experience and skills are essential: Significant senior leadership experience gained within a fast-paced, scaling SaaS or technology platform business Proven track record of leading and growing a commercially focused software or technology business through periods of growth and transformation Demonstrable experience managing full P&L responsibility, including budgeting, forecasting, financial performance, and commercial decision-making Experience overseeing software development and product delivery teams within a SaaS or technology-led environment Strong commercial leadership experience, including revenue growth, customer acquisition, strategic partnerships, and recurring revenue models Experience developing and delivering business strategy, operational plans, and product roadmaps aligned to business growth objectives Experience operating within a private equity-backed, investment-led, or high-growth funding environment would be desirable.
