Job Description:
We are currently recruiting for Ranger for our client based in Narrow Water Castle. The successful candidates will be required to start once the vetting paperwork and ANI completed.
Start date: ASAP
Rate of pay: £12.92
Duration: Mid September
Hours of work: Full time 37 Hours per week, 5/7 working pattern determined by rota. Summer hours 0900 – 1700 (Rota for days and times will vary for each location and business needs – to be confirmed with line manager)
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide support to the site management in the presentation, maintenance and conservation of State Care Monuments.
* Provide support to the site management in the management of visitor access to State Care Monuments.
* Provide support to the site management in the facilitation of events and activities at State Care Monuments.
* Provide support to the site management in the delivery of visitor services at State Care Monuments.
* Provide support to the Premises Officer in the management of assigned buildings.
* Provide support to site management in monitoring the delivery of projects.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Site Presentation: Duties related to the work of HED including outdoor maintenance (grass cutting, hedge trimming, fencing), cleaning and minor maintenance of buildings, maintaining site furniture/signage, upkeep of departmental vehicles, litter/dog foul collection, visitor surveys, animal and plant control, operating specialist equipment, driving departmental vehicles, and data collection from visitor counters.
2. Health and Safety: Comply with health and safety requirements, conduct site inspections, respond to audits, assist with risk assessments and fire drills, maintain records, and respond to emergencies.
3. Other Duties: Cover for State Care sites, operational running, security checks, patrolling, enforcing byelaws, operating AV and IT equipment, maintaining site records, liaising with local authorities and communities, providing high-quality service, and completing timesheets and logs.
Essential Criteria:
* Five GCSE/GCE passes (A, B, or C) including Maths and English. Proof of certificates required.
Applicants must have a full Category B driving licence valid for Northern Ireland.
