Overview
Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment are recruiting for a Warehouse Operative to join a global logistics and distribution business based in Chesterfield. This role is ideal for candidates with valid VNA and Reach Truck licences, including in-house certifications.
We are looking for reliable, safety-conscious individuals who have experience in warehouse operations, order picking, and forklift truck driving.
Responsibilities
* Operate VNA Forklift Trucks (man-up) to safely access stock at height
* Operate Reach Forklift Trucks to move goods across the warehouse
* Pick orders accurately using pick sheets and scanners
* Input product codes and data into basic computer systems
* Follow warehouse procedures and safety protocols at all times
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the warehouse
* Assist with general warehouse duties as needed
Role Breakdown
Approximately 80% order picking and 20% FLT operation
Working Hours
* Monday to Thursday
* 16:00 - 02:30
* No weekend working required - 4 day week
Pay and Benefits
* Starting hourly rate: £13.10
* Overtime available at enhanced rates: Time and a Half and Double Time

Candidate Requirements
* Valid VNA FLT Licence and Reach FLT Licence (in-house licences accepted)
* Previous warehouse experience, ideally in order picking or logistics
* Ability to work safely at height using a man-up VNA forklift
* Comfortable using basic IT systems for order input and verification
* Good attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environment
* Own transport required due to the location of the site
