We're looking for Registered Managers to oversee new children’s homes in Dewsbury /Wakefield. We have three roles: One for a two bedroom, one for a three bedroom setting and for a four bedroom setting. Age 11- 18, specialising in the care of young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). This pivotal leadership role requires a proactive individual with a deep understanding of EBD, trauma-informed care, and the ability to inspire and manage a dedicated team to deliver outstanding outcomes for our young people. The Role: Responsible for the day-to-day management and leadership, ensuring the highest standards of care are delivered. You'll champion the rights of each young person, creating a supportive and enriching environment in line with our policies and procedures. You'll lead and develop a team of care workers, ensuring positive outcomes for the young people by meeting their physical, psychological, emotional, and social development needs, all while adhering to relevant legislation and best practice. What We Need From You: * Enthusiasm: A genuine passion for providing high-quality care and education to young people. * Management Experience: Proven experience managing and leading a team. * Relationship Skills: Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, young people, and external agencies. * Qualifications: * Recognised social work qualification (e.g., QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (Children and Young People)). * QCF Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People Workforce (or equivalent). * Relevant Experience: Minimum 3 years' experience in residential child care (within the last 5 years), including at least 1 year supervising and managing care staff. * Driving Licence & Vehicle: Full manual driving licence and access to your own car (with business insurance). * Knowledge: Thorough understanding of Children’s Homes legislation, Ofsted requirements (SCIFF), and child protection/safeguarding procedures. * Flexibility: Ability to undertake on-call duties and potentially sleep-in shifts as needed. What You'll Be Doing: * Develop and deliver high-quality, person-centred care in line with legislation and our policies. * Ensure adherence to Health & Safety guidelines and adequate staff training. * Maintain accurate records and implement monitoring and evaluation systems. * Provide management information as required. * Develop and promote innovative childcare approaches. * Attend, prepare for, and chair various meetings. * Participate in an on-call rota and potentially cover sleep-in shifts. * Contribute to the overall ethos and aims of the organisation. * Write concise and evaluative reports and oversee written communication. * Make responsible decisions when appropriate. * Oversee admissions and discharges to the homes. * Lead and implement change in line with the organisational ethos
