Job Description:
We are looking for a Senior Working Manager to oversee the Industrial Engineering Team at our Christchurch location.
In this role, you will lead approximately 30 engineers within the Mobility and Industrial Team. You will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of all technical deliverables (external and internal) to cost, quality, and schedule. The Senior Manager of Engineering shall also ensure that appropriate processes are implemented to manage technical risks and that measures are used to evaluate and monitor technical performance.

You will ensure engineering strategies and processes align with business objectives and operational needs regarding safety, price, quality, and delivery targets, enabling the company to compete effectively.
Set and deliver department goals in line with company strategies.
Establish, use, and develop systems and procedures to deliver engineering best practices.
Develop and maintain appropriate SQEP levels for all engineering functions.
Conduct regular and effective technical gateway reviews to monitor and control engineering solutions delivery.
Escalate and manage technical risks and issues, perform root cause analysis, and resolve problems.
Develop, implement, and manage KPIs for each responsibility area.
Identify and deploy technical skill sets, resources, and systems to deliver projects, including engaging external resources as required.
Promote high standards through personal example and team roll-out, ensuring team members understand expected standards and behaviors.
Lead and contribute to continuous improvement activities.

Experience in leading and developing multi-disciplinary teams; some experience in financial management, including budgeting and reporting.
