A well-established and respected family-run commercial vehicle specialist is seeking an experienced Commercial Vehicle Technician to join its high-performing team.
With over 30 years of trading, the business has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality vehicle maintenance, diagnostics, and MOT services across a wide range of vehicles. Operating from a multi-site facility in Leicestershire, the workshop is fully equipped to handle everything from motorcycles and cars through to light commercial vehicles and heavy goods vehicles.
In addition to workshop operations, the company also provides vehicle breakdown and recovery services, supported by a dedicated team and a fleet of recovery vehicles including single car units, multi-car transporters, and heavy recovery units.

The Role
As a Commercial Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing cars and light commercial vehicles to a high standard, ensuring safety, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out diagnostics and vehicle fault finding
* Perform routine inspections, servicing, and health checks
* Complete periodic maintenance including cambelts, brakes, and clutches
* Carry out repairs in line with MOT and manufacturer standards
* Work on a wide range of cars and light commercial vehicles
* Ensure all work is completed in a safe, efficient, and professional manner
* Accurately record and report all work carried out
Duties
* Work within a fast-paced, busy workshop environment
* Provide clear and accurate write-ups for all work required
* Maintain a high level of attention to detail in diagnostics and inspections
* Communicate technical information clearly to colleagues and customers
* Use diagnostic equipment across multiple makes and models
* Work independently and within allocated job times
* Support and mentor apprentice technicians where required
About You
* Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance & Repair qualification (or time served)
* Experience working on commercial vehicles and/or mixed fleets
* Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability
* Good working knowledge of diagnostic tools and equipment
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* Flexible and willing to support wider workshop duties
* Full UK Driving Licence (Class C or C+E advantageous)
* MOT Tester licence (Class 1,2,4,5,7) desirable – training available
Working Hours
* Monday to Friday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
* Saturday: 7:30am – 1:00pm (rota basis)
