We seek to bring together an understanding of households’ living standards and position in the labour market, with key labour market policies, such as the National Living Wage and DWP active labour market programmes.
Our part of the team; the Equalities & Living Standards Analysis (ELSA) branch is made up of six analysts. Our branch seeks to improve our understanding of policy impacts on different groups in society. We support the policy development across HMT by leading on poverty, cost-of-living, general living standards-related analysis as well as equalities and disparities analysis.
